Our Story
How We Met

Once upon a a far away land known as Pierce College, Christopher stumbled upon a beautiful girl named Amanda. While his buddies were awaiting his return to retrieve the wooden ping pong paddles, Christopher was chatting away with this interesting girl whom he just met. Every day there after he would come back to collect the paddles, but unfortunately for his friends he would sit and talk to Amanda for 30 minutes to an hour instead of bringing the paddles to his friends like he was supposed to. Amanda was curious about this shy yet extremely talkative young man. She learned a lot about his Dad and his hobbies for weeks on end. Until finally one day, Christopher got the courage to ask Amanda out to lunch. Amanda was so stoked! In her head, she was like "took you long enough"...they went to pho for their first date. Christopher drove Amanda in his huge lifted Toyota called Sprinkles. She had never seen a truck like this before...and was a tad nervous! But pho was delicious and Chris was adorable so they went out on 4 more dates that week and it has been 5.5 years later...

The Proposal

Christopher and Amanda have been looking at engagement rings since the beginning of the year. We found a beautiful setting together and Chris picked out an amazing center stone on his own! Several months later...Amanda was thinking hmm...this might happen in our annual summer trip to Tahoe! I should go and get my nails done. Chris on the other hand told Amanda that the metal had a flaw and it would take several more months before the ring is ready. Amanda was sad, but still excited to go on a road trip down the Pacific Coast Highway and end it in Lake Tahoe. On the very first day of the road trip, they went to Cannon Beach and were walking along the coast and stopped at the big Haystack rock and stayed there for awhile looking at it. Amanda was thinking in her head "man, I am hungry...we should go". Chris ended up asking a couple girls to take a picture, which is totally normal on a road trip. Chris had his arm around Amanda and all of a sudden she felt him grabbing for something in his pocket and thought "oh's happening...I wish I did my hair this morning". Chris then got down on one knee and asked Amanda "will you marry me". She said "yes". We kissed, hugged, laughed, and said did that really just happen. finally did!
